Former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, David Beckham has won the award for Most stylish Man of 2013 at the 15th Annual GQ Men of the Year
Awards in Berlin Germany on Thursday night.
Commenting on the magazine's choice of the 38 years old athlete for the prestigious award, GQ editor-in-chief, José Redondo Vega
says no one else has managed to bridge the gap between style and sport
like the former Man United star.
“Like no other athlete, David Beckham represents style and fashion
influence” said Vega, “with his trends getting sometimes daring
appearances, he has created a bridge between the world of design, models
and photographers and the world of world-class sports, and brought
glamour back to a male sport,” Vega ended.
David Beckham arrived at the venue for the awards in a smart two piece suit, stark white shirt and a
pencil tie looking forever stylish. It is a well-known fact that Beckham’s evolving style
has perhaps won him as much attention as his footballing prowess down
the years.
