Wealthy rapper - Jay Z has promised he will, on July 4th, give one million Samsung Galaxy users his upcoming musical album for free, if they download the album's application software (not the album itself) to their phones.
His decision to freely give away the album to Samsung Galaxy users 3 days before it reaches the general public may come as a big blow to Samsung's arch-rival Apple Inc. makers of iPhones and owners of itunes.
Samsung currently holds the largest global market among smart phone makers with32.7 percent, and have shipped 70.7 million phones between January and April 2013.
This new album titled: "Magna Carta Holy Grail" will be 43yr old Jay-Z's first studio album after he collaborated with Kanye West on the 2011 "watch the throne" album that also featured Nigeria's Don Jazzy. That album topped the charts across the world and was accompanied by a sold-out world tour.
The album "Magna Carta Holy Grail" will officially be released on July 7, 2013 under Universal Music Group's Roc-a- Fella Records.
Jay-Z has been a very generous person. I guess that's the secret to his amazing wealth.
