WizkId, Ayo Balogun, has surpassed other Nigerian entertainers in terms of popularity, going by a recent check on twitter followers
Though the 24-year-old 'Holla at your boy' crooner burst into limelight about 4 years ago, he now has
followers totaling over 720,000 while next in line to him, D'Banj, is a long shot away with followers less than 400,000 people.
D'banj is followed by
Tuface Idibia and Wizkid's music rival Davido.
For sometime now, leading social media, twitter has been the litmus
test to measure popularity, especially among entertainers the world
over. Lady Gaga got so big she felt she should have a social media of
her own, hence 'Little Monsters' was born.
Globally, Lady Gaga, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber are the most popular entertainers alive.

TWELVE NIGERIAN MUSIC STARS THAT MUST END WELL IN 2013
This is September - the last month in the third quarter of 2013- which ushers in the 'Ember' months!
Entertainers, particularly, music stars know that this period is time for serious business, hence, most of them are already increasing their tempo of success to ensure they end the year on a good ‘musical’ note. (If you know what I mean)
For 2013, the following twelve (12) Stars have soared higher than they've ever soared, and the year must end well for them:
#1. Olamide
Badoo, as he is popularly referred to, dropped 'First of all' which instantly became a monster hit and created a lot euphoria and ecstasy with fans, popularising some slangs such as ‘Are you a learner?’ He swiftly moved to do a remix of the song featuring the Eja Nla himself, D’banj.
However, he didn’t rest on his oars with that song. He went further and dropped more hit songs such as ‘Durosoke.'
Olamide was awarded the Best rap artiste of the year by City People Entertainment. To have him feature on your song, he demands a fee of a million naira.
#2. P-square
Peter and Paul Okoye keep churning out excellent music with lovely beats. They keep studying what fans want and keep giving them that the reason fans won't stop asking for more. Their latest single ‘Personally’ was dedicated to the memory of the icon. An album was released this year called ‘The Greatest Hits’. The album is composed of “No One Like You”, “Do Me”, “Chop My Money”, “Beautiful Onyinye”, “E No Easy”, “Danger”, “Ifunanya”, “Temptation”, and “Bizzy Body”. It also includes one new song entitled “Alingo”. With these hits, the boys have been smiling to the bank.
#3. Wizkid
Star boy Wizzy was crowned the 2013 Musician of the Year (Male) during the City People Nigeria/Ghana Entertainment Awards Wizkid never left the limelight this year. From the beginning of the year till now, Wizzy has worked with lots of acts, within the country as well as foreign acts. So far, he has dropped hit singles like 'Jaiye Jaiye' featuring Femi Kuti; Another is called 'Drop' featuring Nigerian American act, Wale
Wizkid's hit single 'Beat of life (Samba)' won the Hottest Single of the Year from the Nigerian Entertainment Awards.

2CHAINZ ARRESTED AFTER TOUR BUS DEADLOCK WITH POLICE
Rapper 2 Chainz
was inside a tour bus involved in a deadlock with the police early this morning ... and he's already been arrested in connection with the
incident.
2 Chainz' tour bus was pulled
over in Oklahoma City early this morning after police suspected the passengers aboard. When they approached the vehicle, police say, they noticed signs of marijuana use and attempted to enter the bus.
But the bus driver locked the police out, insisting they get a warrant first.
Police got the warrant and eventually boarded the bus hours later, where they arrested 11 passengers (including 2 Chainz) for "interfering with the police process." .
It's unclear if they face additional charges.
However 2 Chainz has tweeted:
"This sh*t will make u go crazy, our bus gets pulled 1 a week and they always say I smell weed I need to search ur bus. Sh* gets tiring"
Whereas, Police sources allege that drugs were found on the bus ... but they wouldn't specify which, or how much
But for God's grace on the Eja Nla himself, our very own D'banj could have been involved in the incident had he been on the tour bus with his labelmate - 2 Chainz,

KOKOMASTER D'BANJ TURNS 33 TODAY!!!
It's D'banj the Eja Nla's 33rd birthday today. Yes, June 9th, and he has been receiving tweets from fans, friends, and family all day.
The most spectacular tweet, to me, came from Mavin Records Chief - Michael Collins popularly known as Don Jazzy. Read his tweet:
"Shout out to Eja nla himself @iamdbanj Happy birthday bro. Have fun and may God continue to bless you. IDJA OSHEEE"
— Michael Collins (@DONJAZZY) June 8, 2013.(It seems the duo have settled their scores or, is Don Jazzy just trying to be polite?)
But far away in South Africa, Moloko Night Club in Pretoria is hosting a VIP birthday bash for the Kokomaster himself.
We all wish the lord of kokolets a happy birthday gig!
Aside: Tontoh Dikeh's Birthday is also today.

Fans of Oladapo Daniel Oyebanjo popularly known as D'banj can't get enough of his 'swaggerlicious big talks,' if you know the 'Mr. Endowed' crooner very well.
Recently in an interview with one of the National Dailies, D'banj was asked to mention the most expensive fashion item he has got so far. Here's what he replied:
"I'm always wearing expensive things: like now, I have two watches on my wrist, I'm putting on Frank Muller, master of complications. It goes for at least $50,000. The other is a big face, the same one Jay-Z is rocking"
Okay... we already know you're endowed, @Mr. D'banj!!!
